Hey there! I’m Jordi Viscarri. A musical theatre artist based in New York.
Jordi Viscarri is an actor, singer, writer, and performer from Houston, Texas. Born to a Salvadorian mother and Spanish-Cuban father, Jordi carries the work ethic instilled in him by his parents in all his endeavors. He has performed in numerous regional productions. Since graduating from Sam Houston State University with his BFA in Musical Theatre, Jordi has made a name for himself playing leading and featured roles in many reputable Equity theaters. Jordi has helped bring contemporary and traditional musicals, plays, and new works to life at theaters like the Alley Theatre, Main Street Theater, Stages Houston, A.D. Players, Queensbury Theatre, Lyric Stage, the Houston Grand Opera, and more.
Jordi developed his love for theatre, music, and performing at an early age, and was consistently involved in theatre at school and in the community while growing up. While at Sam Houston State, Jordi performed the title role in An Evening at Jacques’, a revue based on the music of Jacques Brel. He also played Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show, and Lyle in Footloose at the university level.
Jordi made his first on-screen appearance in the musical film, Bully, in 2017. He later worked on the new film, Sole Mates: The Musical, currently in production. His voice can be heard in the original cast recording of Sole Mates, available on all music streaming platforms. Additionally, Jordi won the first season of singing competition, Raise the Bar, hosted by ReBar Houston. Most recently Jordi booked his first ship contract performing as a lead vocalist with Norwegian Cruise Lines.
“Jordi Viscarri, in multiple roles, could teach a class on serving face and stealing scenes.”
